Job Description:

Are you a Shopify Developer with a passion for e-commerce and a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem? If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Shopify development, a strong command of both front-end and back-end development specific to Shopify, and a proven track record of delivering optimized e-commerce experiences, we want to talk to you. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize BeHope.ca’s Shopify store, ensuring a seamless user journey and an engaging shopping experience across all devices.
• Customize and enhance Shopify themes to improve the overall user experience, focusing on intuitive navigation, ease of purchase, and aesthetic consistency.
• Implement strategies to improve the user journey, such as personalized product recommendations, streamlined checkout processes, and user-friendly interface adjustments.
• Manage databases for mass product uploads, ensuring efficient and accurate uploading of large product inventories through Shopify’s data import tools and APIs.
• Continuously improve and update existing product listings by refining descriptions, images, and attributes to ensure accuracy and appeal.
• Develop solutions for mass updates to product quality, including optimizing images, descriptions, and metadata for better presentation and SEO performance.
• Integrate third-party Shopify apps and develop custom solutions for inventory management, delivery systems, and other key business operations.
• Collaborate with our marketing team to implement SEO best practices, ensuring our website ranks highly on search engines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify-specific issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a smooth shopping experience.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify and web development trends, tools, and technologies to ensure BeHope.ca remains at the forefront of the e-commerce space.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Shopify development and customization.
• Proven expertise in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong experience in front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or similar, with an understanding of responsive design principles.
• Knowledge of back-end development related to Shopify, such as Node.js for server-side applications.
• Experience with Shopify APIs and custom app development to extend Shopify’s capabilities.
• Proficiency in database management for large-scale product uploads, using CSV files, data import tools, and automating updates.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
